Year 6 Residential – Day 1
Our Year 6 residential adventure is officially underway and what a fantastic first day we've had!
After travelling to beautiful Devon this morning, we arrived full of excitement and ready to begin our adventure. This afternoon, we headed straight to the beach where the children enjoyed playing a variety of ball games in the glorious sunshine. There was plenty of teamwork, laughter and friendly competition as everyone made the most of the stunning surroundings.
Next came our sandcastle competition, with some incredibly creative designs taking shape along the shoreline. We were also lucky enough to spot several jellyfish in the sand!
Following a delicious dinner, we returned to the beach for an evening of wide games. The warm weather and beautiful coastal scenery made it the perfect way to end our first day together, with everyone enjoying spending time outdoors.
The children have been a real credit to the school, showing enthusiasm, kindness and excellent behaviour throughout the day. Although we're all feeling pleasantly tired after a busy start, excitement is already building for tomorrow's activities, which include archery, the assault course and surfing.
We can't wait to see what Day 2 has in store!
