Year 5 Hockey Tournament:
Our Year 5 hockey team recently competed in an exciting and memorable tournament—and what a fantastic evening it turned out to be! With a team of just six children, the players showed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout the competition. For several of them, this was their very first experience of playing in a hockey tournament, making their performance even more impressive. Across six matches, the team secured two well-earned victories, battled hard in two closely contested games, and achieved two draws. Every match was played with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, with the children supporting one another and growing in confidence as the evening went on.
Despite narrowly missing out on a bronze medal, finishing in an excellent fourth place, the team should be immensely proud of their achievements. Their commitment, sportsmanship, and effort did not go unnoticed. Most importantly, the children represented Holy Family brilliantly, demonstrating not only their developing hockey skills but also fantastic teamwork and respect.
Well done to all involved for such a wonderful tournament experience!
