Inter-school Handball Tournaments

Our pupils had an exciting opportunity to take part in a friendly Handball competition alongside Mansel Park and Sinclair last week, as part of our inter-school sports competition. The school has already seen success in Tag Rugby, Table Tennis and Netball this academic year and were hoping to replicate this success within Handball as well.

Throughout the afternoon, the matches were fast-paced and full of action. Pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, passing skills, and most importantly resilience. In the Year 3 and 4 event, we lost our first two opening games but then went on to win the second two after showing a fantastic 'never give up attitude'.

During the Year 5 and 6 event, the children played really well in a sport that they are still learning. Unfortunately, they were unable to pick up wins this time but all the children had fun and learnt some valuable skills involved in team invasion games.

A big well done to all the children who took part - you represented the school with pride!

We look forward to seeing the children performing with the same determination during the Kickball event happening in Summer 1!
