Year 6 blog:

Year 6 have been busy with a range of exciting learning across the curriculum. In English, they have been developing their writing skills by creating gripping survival stories, focusing on descriptive language and building tension. They have really thought about how their language builds atmosphere, and we can not wait to publish this piece!

In Geography, we have been exploring coasts, learning about how they are formed and how natural processes shape coastlines over time. The children will be studying real life case studies and analysing the impact it has had.

In Science lessons this half term we have focused on the human body, where pupils investigated the digestive system and carried out a fun (and messy) experiment to model how digestion works.

Alongside this, Year 6 have been thoroughly enjoying reading Kensuke’s Kingdom, finding the story engaging and full of interesting moments that have sparked great discussions in class.
