Year 2 blog:

We have been very busy in Year 2 this Summer. 

We started with a wonderful trip to Marwell Zoo to support our writing topic. The children explored and learned about a variety of animals, including how they live, their diet and habitats and their life at Marwell. This enabled the children to complete a diary style writing piece about their day at Marwell Zoo. What a great experience it was and we can't wait to share with you some of our written outcomes at our upcoming Expo in July.

We then entered our very own Marble Run competition within our Design Technology unit. The children worked incredibly well within their groups to explore, plan and build their own marble runs. These marble runs were incredible! The children used what they had learnt throughout the unit of work and the skills they had developed through the models they created, to ensure their marble runs worked effectively and could be used again and again. The Year 2 team are so proud!
