Year R
HSBC visit:
During this term, Year R have been lucky enough to be visited by the wonderful team at HSBC. Claire came in to teach us all about money. We spent time exploring all the different coins that we would use. We explored the shape, size and colour of them before practising coin rubbings. We have already developed this skill because we had used this as part of our EAD lessons. We spent time creating different rubbings of the coins. We finished off our lesson by learning a money dance.
Dental visit:
Last week, we were lucky enough to have another visitor into the Year R base! We had a special visit from a dental specialist. We began the session by learning how to properly clean our teeth. We learnt that we needed to brush our teeth twice, in circles and for two minutes. We practised this on our practice sets of teeth. We used a timer to count our two minutes and remembered – even if they look clean, it doesn’t mean they are! Then, we created our own door hanger. It was wonderful to spend time developing our PSED skills around oral hygiene further!
