Sanctuary Ambassadors Making a Difference!
At Holy Family, our Sanctuary Ambassadors have been working hard to make our school a more welcoming, safe and inclusive place for everyone. This term, they have been focusing on two exciting projects: applying for the prestigious Blue Peter Silver Badges and designing new signage to promote respect, safety and inclusion around the school.
Applying for Blue Peter Silver Badges
The Blue Peter Silver Badge is awarded to children who go the extra mile to help others and make a positive impact in their communities. Our Sanctuary Ambassadors have been actively demonstrating these values by promoting kindness, inclusivity, and respect throughout our school. Their efforts include:
Organising initiatives to make sure everyone feels valued and included on the playground.
Supporting new children to help them settle in and feel part of our school family.
Encouraging acts of kindness and respect among all children.
By showcasing their dedication to creating a positive school environment, our ambassadors are well on their way to earning this special recognition!
Designing Signage for a Safer, more Inclusive School
To ensure that every student feels safe and respected, our Sanctuary Ambassadors have been designing creative and impactful signage for key areas in the school, including:
The Playground: signs reminding everyone to be kind, include others and play safely together.
Toilet Areas: messages promoting privacy, respect and responsible behaviour to maintain a safe and comfortable space for all students.
These signs will serve as daily reminders of our school’s commitment to inclusivity and respect, making sure that all children feel welcome and secure at all times.
We are incredibly proud of our Sanctuary Ambassadors and their dedication to making Holy Family a better place for everyone. Stay tuned for more updates on their progress and let’s continue to support them in their fantastic work!
