Eco Warriors Lead the Way on Carbon Footprints!
This week, our brilliant Eco Warriors will be educating their classmates about carbon footprints – what they are, why they matter and how we can all take simple steps to reduce ours.
They will be visiting classes across the school, delivering fun and informative mini-sessions about how our everyday actions – like how we travel, the energy we use, and the food we eat – all leave a “footprint” on the planet. The children have been exploring how we can shrink that footprint by recycling, walking or biking instead of driving, saving energy and making more eco-friendly choices.
To help raise awareness, our Eco Warriors will also be launching an exciting whole-school competition! The children are invited to design a creative footprint that shows how we can look after our planet. This could be a colourful poster, a collage using recycled materials or even a digital design – the more imaginative, the better!
Entries are due by Friday 27th June and winners will be announced in our Friday assembly at the end of the half term. There will be eco-themed prizes for the most inspiring designs!
Thank you for your continued support in helping our school grow greener. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful footprint creations!
