Pip and Pap workshops

How lovely are these little ants that pupils and parents made together as part of their phonics workshop today?

Pupils read "Pap and the Ants" with their grown up, after sharing the letter- sound correspondences that they had been learning in school - /s/ /a/ /t/ /p/ /i/ /n/ /m/ and /d/.

They blended words in the story such as 'ants', 'pants', 'pit', 'dad' and even 'stamps!' Then, they worked together to create their minibeasts!
