The Big Lent Walk 2024

This week children from Reception, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4 took part in The Big Lent Walk to raise money for CAFOD. We put some of our Catholic Social Teaching principles into practice and walked around the school grounds in order to get sponsored to raise money for those in need. Before we took part in the walk, we learnt about where some of our money raised might go.  Every £1 that we raise will help fight poverty across the world in countries such as Afghanistan, Colombia, South Sudan and Liberia.  At the end of the walk, we received a blessing from Father Benjamin, reminding us that Lent is also a time for us to draw closer to God.
