Last week, we welcomed Isabella from Cafod into our school to deliver an inspiring assembly about the Live Simply award that we are undertaking this year.

The Live Simply award follows three main themes of:

  • Live Simply

  • Live in Solidarity

  • Live Sustainably

Isabella shared some ways in which our work will help our community and the wider world. We also came up with some small everyday actions to help and she showed us why this is so important. For example, did you know that it takes a toothbrush roughly 400 years to decompose and a plastic bottle 450 years? This left our children feeling like we need to do more. We left feeling excited and empowered to enact change and we will make our eco pledges this week at the Christmas Fair. Watch this space!
