What a fantastic start to the year for our Pupil Parliament! Each of our Pupil Leadership groups have elected a spokesperson to represent them at the half termly Pupil Parliament meetings. During these Pupil Parliament meetings, each of the elected leaders has the opportunity to share their specific initiatives with each other, discuss opportunities to collaborate together and hold discussions regarding whole school decisions.

Below is a summary of each of the key initiatives shared by our Pupil Leaders:

Pupil Chaplains – Developing our prayer area, prayer tree and prayer box, while helping with parent surveys.

Travel Ambassadors – Getting stuck into Walktober and exploring ways to encourage more families to walk to school.

Eco Warriors – Creating our Harvest displays, supporting the compost area and planning litter picking.

E-Cadets – Exploring the positives and negatives of AI and preparing an assembly to share their learning.

Sanctuary – Welcoming new pupils, celebrating different cultures and exploring the many languages spoken in our school community.

Reading Ambassadors – Taking part in the National Reading Quiz, winning a £25 voucher, planning a book swap shed and developing links with our local library.

One key talking point that came from the meeting was a discussion between the work the E-Cadets and Eco Warriors can do to inform everyone about their water footprint caused by AI.

A huge well done to all our pupil leaders for sharing their ideas, taking action and making our school an even better place!
