After some fantastic speeches in class, the Eco Warrior team has now been selected. Miss Hughes was so impressed with the enthusiasm and passion for our planet that the candidates displayed. Each class from Year 1-6 now has their own representative that will be supporting us to make our school more eco-friendly. Our Eco Warrior team has been busy getting started on their important mission! So far, they have met to discuss their first ideas about how to make our school a greener, more sustainable place. From reducing waste to saving energy, the children are full of thoughtful suggestions. We have also linked their work to the UN Global Goals, helping them understand how their actions can support not only our school community but also the wider planet. The team is excited to begin turning ideas into action—watch this space for their next steps!

This year we will be working closely with the OWWL team during enrichment day. This will build up the children’s skills such as den building, weeding, planting and even woodwork. The children have hugely enjoyed this so far and we look forward to seeing the amazing opportunities they have coming up.
