Sacred Heart Mass blog:

On Monday, our school community came together to celebrate a very special occasion: the Feast of the Sacred Heart. This beautiful mass was dedicated especially to all the children in Sacred Heart House.

Children from Sacred Heart House played a key role in the celebration. They led us in prayer and shared readings throughout the mass, helping to guide us all in reflection and worship. In the lead-up to the mass, every child in Sacred Heart House also took time to write a special prayer, thinking about how they can show Christ’s love to others in their daily lives. These individual prayers were then joined together to create a long  paper chain—a powerful symbol of how we are all connected through the love of Christ.

As the mass came to a close, the children of Sacred Heart House were invited to stand and receive a special blessing from Father Benjamin, marking the occasion with a moment of unity and reverence.

One of the most joyful parts of the mass was the singing. The whole school joined together in song, lifting their voices in harmony. The closing hymn, ‘Akekho ofana no Jesu’—a lively and uplifting Zulu song meaning ‘There’s no one like Jesus’—was a particular favourite and ended the celebration on a high note of joy and praise.
