Year 3 blog:

Year 3 had an amazing time on our recent trip to the SeaCity Museum and art gallery! From the moment we arrived, there was excitement in the air as we explored the fascinating history of Southampton. One of the highlights was dressing up in costumes from the Jane Austen era – we had so much fun stepping back in time and imagining what life was like!

After our history adventure, we visited a brilliant art exhibition where we explored a range of stunning portraits. We talked about the emotions and stories the artists might have been trying to share, and everyone had thoughtful and creative ideas.

The most exciting part? We became artists ourselves! Using clay, we sculpted our own portrait structures, getting our hands messy and letting our imaginations run wild. It was a fantastic way to express ourselves and finish off a fun-filled, creative day.

Well done, Year 3 – what a brilliant trip!
