Year 2 blog:
This week, Year 2 had the opportunity to take part in the NSPCC's Speak Out, Stay Safe assembly and workshop. Together, we discussed the different ways children might feel unsafe, reinforcing that it is never their fault and that they have the right to feel safe and ask for help when needed. We were introduced to Buddy, the NSPCC's green speech bubble mascot, who is always ready to offer advice and encourage children to speak up. As a class, we also talked about the different emotions we experience and the trusted adults we can turn to for support. The children learned about the Childline website and how it can help those in need. The children really enjoyed the workshop and engaged with the information packs and fun games. They loved ending the workshop with stickers and bookmarks that they could take home.
