Reading Ambassadors:

Our KS2 Reading Ambassadors held their first 'Blue Peter Book Club' at lunchtime today, with none other than Frank Cottrell Boyce's texts - our new Children's Laureate for 2024-2026!

Our ambassadors promoted their reading club in assembly, and were thrilled that so many pupils came along to the first session! You can view the Powerpoint that they created with the help of Ms Harley below. They have even created their own 'Laureate Lounge' in the library to read Frank's books in, complete with armchair and chaise-longue!

Children enjoyed being read to by our ambassadors, the opportunity to read one of Frank's books by themselves if they so chose, as well as the opportunity to partake in some crafts and games linked to the stories on offer.

Well done to our fabulous Reading Ambassadors! In October, they will be promoting Black History Month in the library, selecting texts by famous Black illustrators and authors to enjoy at lunchtimes.
