Royal Society Young People's Book Prize:

Our Reading Ambassadors have been chosen to partake in an exciting initiative by the Royal Society, to review some non-fiction books for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize, 2024-5!

Each set of Reading Ambassadors across Mansel Park, Bitterne Park, Holy Family, Sinclair and OLSJ will be receiving a special envelope, containing a mystery non fiction book! Each book has a science theme and is a recent release to the market.

Their task as Reading Ambassadors is to review the book, using a proforma sent by the Royal Society, to capture their views and opinions. Their views and scores will be compiled, before being sent back to the Royal Society, who will use our scores and those of other partaking schools to find the winner!

We will then all swap books at our Reading Ambassador conference in February, so that we can enjoy all of the titles together! Watch this space to find out the partnership winner, as well as the Royal Society overall winner!

You can find out more about the shortlist HERE!
