Sports Day Blog
Thank you to those who attended Sports Day on Friday last week. It is always such a great feeling as a school to be able to have so many of you on site and be part of such a big day.
The children had such a fun time taking part in the 10 stations and cheering on their house during the different running races. This was the first year that we have incorporated the oval running track for the children so they can experience running on the curve. This will benefit them as we will be attending the City Athletics event next half term.
The event saw Sacred Heart out in the lead during most of the competition but at the end of the day, once all the races had been run, it was Our Lady who were left standing tall with the coveted sports day trophy raised above their heads.
We were lucky enough to have Southampton woman's first team footballer and former pupil Megan Collett hand out the award to the House and Sports captain from the winning house.
Congratulations to Our Lady!
