Sports blog:

Recently, some of our Year 5 children were selected to take part in a city wide Tag Rugby event. It was such a fun and exciting experience and we are so proud of all the children who took part!

The focus of the event was all about learning new skills, trying something different and enjoying being part of a team - and that’s exactly what the children did.

There were lots of great moments throughout the 8 games we played, with some brilliant teamwork, quick thinking and plenty of celebrating. In the end we managed to win five of the games (scoring multiple tries), we drew two and only lost one. It was great to see the children start each game with a big "Holy Family" cheer and end each of the games by shaking hands with all the other competitors.

The children represented the school wonderfully, showing great behaviour, kindness and a really positive attitude. They listened carefully, supported one another and, most importantly, had lots of fun!

Well done to everyone who took part - you should all be really proud of yourselves. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to learn, play and enjoy sport together!
