Year 6C IntoUniversity Week

Class 6C recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring trip that gave them a taste of life beyond the classroom and a glimpse into their future learning opportunities.

The week began at the Into University Centre, where the children took part in a range of engaging workshops. These sessions were designed to help them develop key skills, such as teamwork and presentation skills. Working together, pupils shared ideas confidently, listened to one another and supported their teammates, showing great maturity and enthusiasm throughout.

As part of the trip, the class also visited the SeaCity Museum, where they explored Southampton’s rich history. The visit brought learning to life and sparked lots of thoughtful questions and discussions among the children.

Their week-long trip ended with a visit to the University of Southampton. This was a particularly exciting experience as pupils learned more about further education and the different pathways they could pursue after leaving school. Walking around the university helped the children imagine themselves as future students and inspired many ambitious conversations about careers and goals.

Throughout the trip, the children’s enthusiasm was evident. They represented the school brilliantly, showing curiosity, confidence and a real eagerness to learn.

A huge thank you to the Into University staff for organising such a valuable and memorable experience for our pupils.
