Year 5 Swimming:

This week, our Year 5 cohort had the wonderful opportunity to attend swimming sessions every day and what an incredible experience it has been. From the very first splash on Monday to the final session on Friday, it was a real pleasure to watch the children grow in both confidence and ability.

At the start of the week, some pupils were understandably a little nervous, but with encouragement and determination, they quickly began to develop their skills. Each day brought noticeable progress, whether it was improving their strokes, building stamina or simply feeling more comfortable in the water. By midweek, many children were already showing great enthusiasm and pride in their achievements.

By the end of the week, their abilities truly shone through. It was fantastic to see how far they had come in such a short time and a real sense of accomplishment.

A particular highlight was Friday’s session, where the children were introduced to basic life-saving skills. In an exciting and memorable activity, they even had the chance to jump into the pool fully clothed! This not only brought lots of laughter but also helped them understand important water safety techniques in a practical and engaging way.

Overall, it has been a rewarding and enjoyable week for everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of all the children for their effort, resilience, and positive attitude throughout the experience.
