Our Year 3/4 and 5/6 netball teams had two exciting afternoons as they took part in friendly fixtures against our partnership school, Mansel Park.

Playing High 5 netball, all the children in both matches showed fantastic teamwork, brilliant movement on the court and impressive communication throughout the games. All the teams worked especially hard on their defending skills by marking their partners closely and not allowing the opposition much time on the ball. After brilliant efforts from all players, the Year 3/4 game ended in a draw — which meant a shoot-out! After a tense round, Holy Family scored the final point to win the match! In the Year 5/6 fixture, Holy Family again took the win but this time in a hard fought 9 points to 6 points final score.

We are so proud of every child who took part. Their sportsmanship, effort and enthusiasm made the afternoon a wonderful celebration of sport across our partnership of schools. Well done, Holy Family!
