Year 3 music concert blog
In Year 3, we have been working so hard on learning our instruments! We have been learning the glockenspiel, guitar and trumpet.
Glockenspiel players have been learning lots of different notes such as B flat, A and C. A big focus for them has been on not looking down at the glockenspiel but rather looking at the notes on the screen.
Guitar players have been working on their playing stance, as well as notes such as E, B and G. Using the right finger to pluck the strings has been a big focus!
Trumpet players have been making sure they are holding the instrument properly, as well as sitting with both feet on the floor to play. They have been looking at different notes such as C, D and E. They also learnt the song ‘Hot Cross Buns’.
After all of that wonderful learning, Year 3 came together to perform a fantastic musical concert to their adults. They performed with confidence and the songs sounded wonderful; especially their collective rendition of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’!
We also had some special guest performers from different year groups, who showcased what they had been learning in their individual music lessons. We were so impressed!
