Harvest Liturgy:

On Monday 12th October, we came together for a special Harvest Liturgy to celebrate God’s wonderful world and give thanks for the many blessings we receive.

Through our reading from the book of Psalms, we reflected on how God provides the rain, fertile soil and everything needed for plants to grow and flourish. The Gospel reading reminded us of Jesus’ promise of life-giving water, encouraging us to appreciate the precious resources our world provides.

Our children contributed beautifully through their bidding prayers, thoughtful Harvest acrostic poems and joyful singing of ‘Harvest Samba’, celebrating the wonderful variety of food that grows around the world. We also gave thanks for the fruit and vegetables we have grown in our own school, reminding us of the care, patience and teamwork needed to nurture God’s creation.

Our liturgy was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the importance of caring for our environment, sharing what we have with others and remembering those around the world who do not have enough food or clean water.

As we continue to live out our school mission, we are reminded to care for God’s creation, be grateful for what we have and work together to build a better world for everyone.

God in our Hearts, Love in our Words, Family in our Actions.
