Remembrance Day:
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
A member of our school council, Adaline, our Vice Chair, was lucky enough to be asked to represent the school in the Remembrance Day Parade and Service at the Southampton Cenotaph on Sunday, November 10th. She was a fantastic representative, taking on this role with real pride.
Following the sound of the bugle and the two minute silence, Adaline was invited, along with representatives from the other schools in our Learning Federation, to follow lead officials from the city in laying a wreath by the Cenotaph, remembering those who lost their lives for us. What a worthwhile event to be a part of!
Within school, all the children have taken part in a Remembrance Assembly and have observed the two minute silence, as well as creating poppies to hang in school as a symbol of our respect for the amazing individuals lost, but not forgotten.
