Cross Country:
On Friday 21st March, our Year 5 and 6 children took part in the school cross-country event, alongside other schools from across Southampton. It was an exciting event and our children represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and determination throughout the race.
It was clear that the children had been putting in the effort to prepare, practicing during lunchtimes and even on weekends to improve their pace and stamina. Their commitment paid off, as each runner gave their absolute best throughout the entire 2.5km race. Whether they were leading the pack or supporting their peers, they kept pushing forward with a positive attitude, showing resilience in the face of challenges.
Beyond the physical effort, it was the sportsmanship that really stood out. The children encouraged and cheered on not only their classmates but also runners from other schools. They demonstrated teamwork, kindness and respect, living up to the values we cherish at our school.
We are incredibly proud of all of the children for their hard work, dedication and positive attitude. Their performance on the day was a true reflection of the spirit of our school community. Well done, Years 5 and 6!
