House Captains:
House Captains - Roles and Responsibility
This term our House and Sports Captains have been working hard to support the school community and encourage everyone to get involved. Each Wednesday, we meet together to share ideas, catch up on what other Pupil Leadership groups are focusing on and plan how we can spread the word of up-coming events and initiatives.
One of our regular responsibilities has been writing certificates for children in our houses that have achieved over 50 house points. It is always a pleasure to celebrate the effort, determination and commitment to their learning. We are very impressed with how many children have had their pegs flying off the behaviour chart since returning back to school.
Alongside this, we are currently busy planning and organising our charity project - the Wessex Trust Shoebox Appeal. This project gives us the chance to make a difference in the wider community by collecting and preparing donations for those in need.
St Joseph House has also had a fantastic first week leading play for our younger year groups on the playground at lunchtimes. They have introduced new and exciting games, helping to build confidence, teamwork, and friendships for our Year R, 1, 2 and 3 children .
Overall, it has been a busy but rewarding start to the academic year and we are looking forward to what’s ahead!
