Year 4 blog:

Story Share Spread: A Morning of Reading, Laughter, and Connection

This week, Year 4 was filled with the soft buzz of turning pages, giggles from curious minds and the heartwarming sight of parents and children reading together during our Story Share Spread afternoon in the shady amphitheatre area. We were thrilled to welcome so many of you into our school to share a special book with your child.

From picture books to adventure tales, the room was alive with imagination and conversation. It was wonderful to see children proudly showing their parents how they use expression, ask questions about the story and connect what they read to their everyday lives.

Our goal with Story Share Spread is simple: to build a stronger connection between home and school through the power of stories. By reading together, children not only improve their literacy skills, they also build confidence, strengthen their emotional bonds and learn that reading is something to be loved, not just learned.

A huge thank you to all the parents and families who joined us. Your presence made a difference and showed our children that reading is a shared adventure. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and we look forward to many more moments like these.
