Wild Adventures: Year 2 Takes on Marwell Zoo!

Our Year 2 children recently embarked on an unforgettable trip to Marwell Zoo and what a day of discovery it was! From the moment we stepped through the gates, the air was buzzing with excitement as we came face-to-face with majestic giraffes, curious meerkats and roaming rhinos.

The highlight of our trip was an immersive workshop. Our children learnt the secrets of tracking wildlife. We became experts at hunting for animal clues—examining everything from footprints to dietary evidence (yes, that means poo!) to identify the creatures living among us.

Back at school, the classroom is still filled with chatter about all of the animals we saw and wonderful memories from the day. This wonderful trip has helped us build our vocabulary and gather ideas ahead of our current writing unit. We look forward to sharing with you some of the writing pieces we create.
