Year R blog:

This week, Year R had a visit from the Teddy Bear Hospital. They engaged in three activities that supported their understanding of how we can be healthy and look after ourselves:  the children were shown a range of healthy and unhealthy foods and had to work as a team to sort these foods into two groups, giving reasons for their choices; the children looked at different pictures of a home environment and spotted things that were not safe, as well as knowing who they can talk to or what they should do if they see something dangerous or unsafe; and finally the children were very excited to use different medical items on their own teddy bears to help them feel better.

The children really enjoyed the experience and were so excited to tell everyone about it!
